Socialization of Temporary Waste Storage of PPTK 2 Laboratory

The image above is a temporary waste shelter and storage area located in the PPTK 2 Laboratory. Temporary waste shelters are divided into 6 types, namely:

1. Biodegradable Tank contains waste that can be decomposed, for example cellulose and starch.

2. Non-Halogenic Tank, contains non-halogenic liquid waste that does not contain halogen elements, such as solvents, ethanol, benzene, and others.

3. Halogenic Tank, contains liquid waste containing halogen elements, such as Fluorine (F); Chlorine (Cl); Iodine (I).

4. Non-Heavy Metal, contains non-heavy metal liquid waste containing Acid elements (HCl, H2SO4); Base elements (KOH, NaOH); and salts such as NaCl and KCl

5. Heavy Metal Tank, contains liquid waste containing heavy metals such as Cr, Au, Pb, Ag, and Hg.

6. Solid Waste Tank, contains solid waste from the remaining practicum such as activated carbon and CaCl.

After disposing of the remaining waste, students/practicum participants are expected to fill in the checklist provided above the temporary storage tank.
